- M: mumps (and other infections) / malignancy
- A: autoimmune
- S: scorpion stings/spider bites
- H: hyperlipidemia/hypercalcaemia/
- E: ERCP
- D: drugs ( diuretics, HIV infection, immunosuppressants)
The first four letters are the most common causes of pancreatitis.
