1.Congratulations on achieving such an amazing feat. Tell us a bit about yourself. Please also tell us your individual marks in each subject.
I am Chintan Lakhani, a wannabe doctor, I study at LTMC (Sion Hospital), Mumbai
Individual marks in CET
Physics :- 41
Chemistry :- 49
Biology :- 99
Total =189/200
2.So, when all of this is new and the rest of us are still busy figuring the head and tail of the subject, how did you tackle and master the syllabus?
I managed to tackle the entire syllabus by studying regularly. Not hard, but just smart work is required to clear CET
3.Do you have any special pointers for specific subjects?
Physics I only studied what was taught in class to us. Apart from that I solved mcqs from our coaching institute booklet and Marvel.
Physical chemistry is conceptual and less of memorization so only class notes and mcqs are enough
Inorganic chemistry is only pure memorization which I did from the HSC text book.
Organic chemistry for MHCET is mainly asked only from the textbook, so I just memorized it for the sake of the exam since didn’t find time to go deep. One should understand and learn, it’ll be easier
Notes :-
For physics, class notes.
For chemistry class notes plus HSC text book.
For Biology only HSC Textbook (CET questions come entirely from HSC textbook)
4.How do you propose the students study and what kind of discipline should be followed during exam time?
No special tips for exams. 2 full years are taught in an exam oriented way by coaching classes.
5.How vital is the Question bank for exams?
I didn’t solve any previous year papers since the syllabus for us was different.
6.Any special tricks and tacts for the students who would be reading this?
My tip :- Work hard, but not very hard, smart hard work is required.
Be very well prepared with Physics. Don’t panic in the paper. Don’t waste too much time on a single question, it cost me 5 marks in CET.
