1.Congratulations on achieving such an amazing feat. Tell us a bit about yourself. Please also tell us your individual marks in each subject.
1)First of all thank u so much.
Myself Jain Palak Pradeep.
I scored
157_anatomy
149_physio nd biochemistry
134_dadh
2.So, when all of this is new and the rest of us are still busy figuring the head and tail of the subject, how did you tackle and master the syllabus?
2)Actually there is nothing difficult if we do our work from the bottom of our heart & with passion. I tackle and master the syllabus by regular studying with understanding and not mugging the subject.
3.Did you have a set schedule, a time table that you stuck to? What were the daily hours that you put in self study ?
3)there should be consistency while studying,i studied 2 hrs daily what had been taught in lect on same day and not more than that.
4.Did you have a different methodology of tackling the subjects? Any special notes that you prepared?
4) I used to make mnemonics for subjects like biochemistry and Anat they really help alot. And Physio is all based on your understanding.
5.Do you have any special pointers for specific subjects? The do’s and don’ts of it?
5) I had special pointers for anatomy. Diagrams are the soul of Anatomy. 50-60℅ marks depend on diagrams. More the number of diagrams more marks you will secure.
6.How vital is the Question bank during exams? Does it come highly recommended or you advice thorough reading of the text and having confound knowledge of the subject?
6)I didn’t prefer que bank. I believe in thorough reading .majority of students not majority almost everyone prefer que bank, so it doesn’t make any difference between them ndme..to achieve success one should walk on different path .
7.How do you propose the students study and what kind of discipline should be followed during exam time?
7)According to me exam time study is very very essential. It is the period to recall everything what we have studied throughout the year. If anyone thinks that I have studied throughout the year, each and every concept of mine is clear and he doesn’t revise properly during exam period then he is the biggest fool. And one more important thing we should be careful about is our health as it will directly affect our studies and last but not least stress management.
8.Could you give some important pointers on Exam writing skills? And also how should one prepare for a practical exam?
8)Write answers in the form of flowcharts where ever possible. Quantity of answer doesn’t matter, what all matters is quality. It’s not like filling no. of sheets will increase your marks.
One should have good communication skills which helps a lot to express what we know, many students are unable to answer because of their poor communication skills ….
9.Any special tricks and tacts for the students of your college who would be reading this?
9)Answering each and every question of lecturer makes a good image which helps a lot during Viva examination even if we don’t perform will due to some reason.
Their should be a balance between theoretical and practical knowledge and also Viva performance. If any of this factor is missing in a student then I don’t think there is a chance to top.
10.So, do you have any parting thoughts? Like disclosing that secret mantra that you chanted or that special brand of energy drink you savoured? Just kidding. Seriously though, anything at all?
10)Not at all?
